We made gyoza (potstickers) this morning. The majority of them will be served at our small group tonight. We did make a few for the family and we have leftover filling to make more tommorow or Saturday when the wrappers defrost. I used tofu instead of ground meat for the filling. The boys helped me with them and I did not want them handling raw meat. I have often made gyoza by frying them peanut oil then adding water. I am going to just fry them tonight. We serve our gyoza with a sauce of Soy Sauce, sesame oil and chopped ginger. You can add a dash of chili oil if you want more zing. I eat my gyoza with chopsticks so of course the boys have to as well. I got the recipe for this in Mark Bittman's How To Cook Everything. This is the best cook book ever! If you buy one cookbook this year, make it this one.
