Day 71 - Planting Time

We planted carrot, chive and radish seeds today. I also finished transplanting the onion and leek starts. We now have the above items plus lettuce and broccoli growing.
I saw a project in a book about gardening with kids where you take a 1/2 gallon milk carton and cut off the top. You also cut a hole on one side and duck tape some saran wrap on the carton. The kids plant carrots in the cartons, then they can watch the carrot grow.

They boys both helps with the project. We planted some seeds straight in the ground and some in starter planters.

We had some rain water in the back of a toy car. Liam enjoyed scooping it and watering the plants.
